Blue Bottle Coffee launches hand-whisked Uji matcha latte with Kyoto tencha
Blue Bottle Coffee will introduce a hand-whisked Uji matcha latte (¥1,020) from October 1, 2026, prepared individually by baristas. The matcha, called Eiryoku, is sourced from Rishow-en tea merchant in Kyoto and blends young leaves from first-flush harvest in Wazuka and Uji Tawara towns. The chain will also sell Craft Matcha (¥3,460) for home use, stone-milled from the same Eiryoku first-flush tencha.
