Effects of Late-Stage Nitrogen Fertilization and Heading-Stage Nitrogen Top-Dressing on Yield and Barley-Tea Processing Suitability of Barley Varieties 'Kashimamugi' and 'Kashimagoal' in Converted Paddy Fields

Study tested nitrogen fertilization timing in two barley varieties grown in converted paddy fields for barley-tea production. Nitrogen application at heading stage increased grain protein content and significantly improved tea processing suitability and grain weight.
